The rar file seems to contain a .js file

The whole file is only 193bytes. There is only one small .js file inside.

So the ones with grey text printed are genuine, and the ones with text actually moulded into the plastic are fake?

I have one of each, so what's a good way to test performance? Because they both seem pretty solid.

So it's working !!!!
Today, I tried it with my screen and without IR pen (a remote). It's working with that !!
there is no more dots detected all the time and the calibration can be done.
Tomorrow I'll be in my classroom, I'll test it with IR pen and projector.

Since the images in the first posts are somewhat blurry, I will have to ask. I hope you won't mind. I do have two Wii Remotes. One of them came in the pack with the Wii Console and the second was bought as a stand alone product. Their etiquettes do differ but I still cannot be sure if some of them is fake, so I will place them here, and hope somebody can judge them. You can use these images in your first post.

Actually, after reading this topic, I can conclude that both of them are (supposed to be) genuine. Just, the first one (that came with the Wii Console) is a Korean and the second one (bought as stand alone) is a Taiwan model.

BUT, I have to notice that the accelerometer behaves a bit strange in a Korean (the one that came with the Wii Console) model, and I had to program a special module that calibrates it. The problem is that it does not sense G-zeros with an equal value by any of three axes.

I have experienced the fake Wiimotes and that was the horrible experience for me. I am still astonished at this time.
