i was watching the youtube vids and I was blown away by what this Johnny Lee guy was doing and I want to try it out. So I have a few questions:

1: Does this void any warranty or anything (syncing wiimote with comp)
2: When i sync the wiimote with my comp does it unsync it with my wii?
3: where can i purchase IR leds and all the other things required for the IR pens? I cant find anywhere to buy ( will this do? http://www.radioshack.com/sm-high-output-infrared-led--pi-2062565.html

Aside from that this is genius!

1. You don't change anything to the internals of the wiimote, so i guess you're free to connect to every bluetooth adapter.
2. You dont really sync a wiimote with the computer, you just use the 1+2 buttons. From what I've heard (don't own a wii myself) the 1+2 buttons make a second player connect to the wii in multiplayer games. So it's a temporary connection as far as i know;)
3. The IR led seems fine, but I wouldn't use it for fingertracking, because it's only using 29mA, and most of the LED's used for fingertracking use about 100-150mA. So unless it's an other technique, it emits less IR light:)

I dont know what the thinkpad will do, since almost every computer seems to be different, it's hard to predict if you should use bluesoleil or not. I think it's best just to try and find out;)

I have several thinkpad r40 laptops at work and they don't have bluetooth. They also don't have USB2.0 The dongle I tried only worked with 2.0 so I am considering some of the pcmcia cards that provide bluetooth. I've only seen them on ebay. Another source (in the US) would be great. The usb2.0 dongle I tried was an iomega.
