Here’s the trouble I’m having with getting the wiimote set up.

I have Bluetooth running on a Lenovo t60p running xp sp 2.  I know that the Bluetooth is operational because I can send pictures to the laptop from my phone. I’m trying to use the Microsoft Bluetooth stack. I can add the wiimote as a Bluetooth device and see Nintendo RVL-CNT-01 as a device (with the correct mac id for the wiimote).  So it seems to think I’m connected.

At this point I try to start Smoothboard and get the error message “Error reading data from the Wiimote…is it connected?”

Just to double check I tried using the WiimoteConnect app.  If I press connect in that app it gives me a dialog saying “1 Wiimote/s successfully connected.” So it thinks I’m connected too.

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong....seems like I'm 99% of the way there.

Thanks,
Mike

I am definitely connected...see picture below.

Still get error message with Smoothboard or WiimoteWhiteboard asking if wii is connected.

Thanks in advance,
Mike

Hi Mike

From the screenshot it looks like you are connected using the Widcomm stack
Anyway to be sure check out this website to confirm

http://www.boonjin.com/smoothboard/index.php?title=How_do_I_know_which_stack_I_have%3F

Normally for widcomm, you would need to remove all devices everytime you need to reconnect
Very messy

Hope that helps

My driver says Broadcomm.

I will try to replace it with the Microsoft driver tomorrow and see if that takes care of it.

Thanks,
Mike
