Wiimote Friends

Sick of BlueSoleil crashing my desktop PC (XP doesn't need third party software to do this, it manages just fine on its own) I went out and bought a DLink DBT-122 http://www.dlink.com.au/Products.aspx?Sec=1&Sub1=18&Sub2=39&PID=211 bundled with Widcomm stack. Cost me a few $$$ but no more system crashing, worth it  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy.

However whilst researching the latest driver I found this: http://www.telusplanet.net/public/wladykad/ It is an instructional on how to get Widcomm working on your BlueSoleil Dongle!

And this wiki: http://www.wiili.org/index.php/Compatible_Bluetooth_Devices it is an excellent list of working Bluetooth radio's and stacks. Includes links to the best stack for each dongle.

If you get the patch working please post your device, OS and any tricks/hints here so others know if it will work on their system.

My OS is Windows XP SP3.
I have a tiny cheap Bluetooth USB dongle (http://www.bigdennis.com/mini-bluethooth-dongle-p-13335.html?language=nl) that came with IVT BlueSoleil 2.6.0.8 070517. Worked perfectly!
Today I verified the 'benpaddlejones' solution with Widcomm and fix: worked perfectly!
Next I re-installed the Microsoft Bluetooth stack following the steps like mentioned in http://www.bostonpocketpc.com/PermaLink,guid,a19a4da8-7d1a-41a6-b68d-2d5455a3bbb5.aspx and http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/centrafuse/116643-enabling-microsoft-bluetooth-stack.html and again it worked perfectly the connection worked but no Whiteboard software seems to pick up IR Leds or any other input. 'wiiusej' can activitate rumble though. The Vendor and Product ID of my dongle being USB\VID_1131&PID_1001.
So I have tested 3 configurations and only Bluesoleil is not supported by a user friendly connect procedure like for Widcomm: http://www.uweschmidt.org/wiimote-whiteboard) and Microsoft: http://www.wiimoteproject.com/wiimote-and-bluetooth-connectivity/wiimoteconnect-(searching-beta-testers)-update(0-5)!!-please-test-it/

It is trully appeciated that IVT are so keen to work with users to address these problems, we all look forward to a working solution. Dear All,

Thanks again! We've confirm the issue and found a way to resolve it.
But now, our new driver needs to pass Microsoft's digital signature.
Maybe one week, we'll prepare the new version. I'll let you know soon when it's ready.

I got messages from other topics.

Good news!

BlueSoleil6.2.227.11 has fixed the BlueScreen issue.
Please download it from http://www.bluesoleil.com/download/index.asp?topic=bluesoleil6x.

And I communicated with BlueSoleil support, they are reseaching the suggestions from here and planning to establish a new project to do some work between BlueSoleil and Wii Remote.
