Hello - I'm a complete idiot, but I found this site and read through some of the threads and hope that someone might be able to help me out.

Is it possible to measure the distance between a Wiimote and the sensor bar? They would not be more than 5ft away from one another.

You may use two IR LEDs with a fixed distance. Then, from the Wiimote, you may calculate the distance based on the detected distance between the two IR dots. However, this is assuming the Wiimote will view this from the front and not from an angle.
