Hi,

I have a problem with not having enough space to position a wiimote at a 45 degree angle, which makes it impossible to get an accurate pointer! I have one wiimote directly behind the board and with an LED on the back of a pen can get it to work but it is not accurate enough because of the distance between the LED ad the board.

Does anyone know of any way to increase the angle of the camera, or any other means to make this work?

I have a ceiling mounted projector facing a wall with a width of about 7ft. Thanks for you thoughts, suggestions and help...

This is a long shot but if you're are really stuck in a small room, the only thing that occurs to me is maybe mirrors. I recall that sometimes when I go to the eye doctor, he is also stuck in a small room but he wants his eye chart to appear further away then it actually is, so he bounces the light off of two mirrors and then onto a screen that I look at. It's a wild idea but if the mirrors are hung and aligned properly, it just might work. Set up one mirror on your back wall that can see your entire board space, then angle it so that is bounces the light to another mirror at the front of your room, then point your Wii remote camera at that mirror. Good luck, let me know if this works. I'll be as surprised as anyone. Cheesy

Hi,

Like what shakespeare has mentioned, you can use mirrors which should give the same effect as placing the Wiimote further away from the screen.
Another way to help with the low field of view of the Wiimote is to put the Wiimote on a more acute angle with the screen such as the quick drawing below.

Hi

Since you have the projector up in the ceiling, is it possible to place the wiimote at the same position as the projector?

Yeah. I mounted my Wiimote up on a beam near the projector. When testing, I found that you can't put the wiimote on too much of an angle (about 45 degrees) from perpendicular to the surface you intend to use the wiimote whiteboard on. If you go further, your sensing resolution tends to be really good on one side and poor on the other.
