For On Screen Keyboard, due to Vista's UAC/Administration controls it will prevent the software for interacting with the desktop that requires Administration rights. To allow Smoothboard to interact as an Administrator, you will need to set the software to be run as an Administrator.

This can changed by going to Smoothboard's directory (Default is C:/Boon Jin/Smoothboard), and right click on the Smoothboard.exe file to access the Properties.

Next in Compatibility tab->Privilege Level, check the Run this program as an administrator option and click Apply.

You can then launch the software like usual. If you have set the UAC option, the operating system will ask for your consent to launch the software as an Administrator.
