Yo everybody.

I recently discovered about the wiimote whiteboard project and I couldn't be more enthusiastic about it.

So, as a imaginative guy I think I am, I began thinking on nice ways to use it.

I jumped the projector use. Since I like to draw and such, it would not fit cause of the shadows. and they are so D*MN expensive...

So I thougth of the direct screen use. And so I thought that, with time, all that touching would end on damaging a LCD screen. So I tried to think on a way to protect the screen, so I could draw with no worries.

then, I managed to think of this.


A somehow utopic working table.

Would the IR pen still work through a thick sheet of glass (or equivalent thick transparent material) put some centimeters away from the screen?

Im just using an 0.5mm thick sheet of plexiglass/lexan which doesnt interrupt the light at all, and gives a nice surface for the IR to reflect off.

Just taped in place around the edge with clear tape.

My displays are currently on 2 axis monitor arms, but soon to be 3 axis gaslift arms.

a rear projected screen would be nice...
