i have got an idea:
take a wireless mouse, fix a steady-on (can i say it like this?) ir-led at the front
and thats your presenter click!
the mouse is for clicking (so the ball or the optical sensor isn't used)
the wiimotepresenter is for the position
good idea?  Cool
here's a picture:

Imb
I'm just about to release pictures of my lastest creation!

I have wired a IR-Pen to a mini BT mouse. The Perminantly illuminated IR-Led gives cursor location and the pressure sensitive tip sends a left click via the mouse. It also has buttons on the IR-Pen wired to left click, right click and centre click. The mouse is strapped to your arm in a little IPOD case.

It's on German, but there are pictures
If I understood you right, this is the same thing but without center-click
