Title: Power supply for IR lights (get independent from Wii console) Post by: Misha on February 25, 2009, 12:05:46 PM Hello, me again. Within the last days I made some progress and found it cool to play around with Wiimote and IR lights. Now, excuse me if I am asking an easy question, but I am all unfamiliar with Wii accessory and consoles since the time I quit programming for C64.
What I need is an independent power supply for the bar with IR lights that comes in box with Wii console. Since I don't use the console at all it would be dull to drag it around just for powering the IR lights. What is a common solution to this? Then you can buy a transformer from the local shop that can transform the current to constant and which has the possibility to adjust the voltage (for example 1.5, 3 , 6 , 12 volts) Hope i helped. I just guessed there are gadgets made by Nintendo especially for this purpose.

You can make your own IR-Array or buy a wireless sensor bar on ebay. benpaddlejones :) |
