Title: Strange Wiimote problem Post by: JanH on March 10, 2009, 11:01:10 AM I'm currently working together with some friends on a school project, which involves setting up a working wiimote whiteboard.
We have already connected it to an adapter so it runs off the mains, but now our wiimote behaves strangely: Connecting via bluetooth works okay, but when I start the wiimote software (the one by Johnny Lee, v0.3), the wiimote emits some kind of screeching sound, which only stops when I disconnect the wiimote's bluetooth connection completely. Does anybody have any idea what has caused this strange behaviour? Title: Re: Strange Wiimote problem Post by: benpaddlejones on March 10, 2009, 05:29:36 PM JanH
Does it happen with batteries? Could be overpowering your wiimote, whats the output from your charger? benpaddlejones :) Title: Re: Strange Wiimote problem Post by: JanH on March 11, 2009, 01:11:06 PM Testing it with batteries is a bit difficult now, but the problem definitely didn't occur when it was battery powered.
The adapter is set to 3 V, but we'll check it with a voltmeter next time. Though come to think of it now, it might well be possible that the Wiimote we've got is in fact a fake, which might also explain the low FOV; in that case we'll try to get a new, original one, so it won't be worth bothering with this problem. Thanks for the help anyway. Title: Re: Strange Wiimote problem Post by: benpaddlejones on March 11, 2009, 10:13:19 PM JanH
I've been sucked into a fack too before poor BT connection and when connected just constrant streaming from the Ir Camera. Def check the volatge first they are very sensitive to anything over 3v. benpaddlejones :) |
