Title: Wiimote Consumption Post by: Stonedge on April 21, 2009, 08:13:33 AM Hi,
I have made some test with my multimeter... and it appear that the wiimote consume 0.05A in connecting mode and 0.08A in WiimoteWhiteboard connected and funtionnal mode... If I use the Volts x Amps = Watts rules: 3.0v x 0.08a = 0.24watts here is my question: Why everyone tell that we need an 3v 1amp plugins transformer for 1 wiimote since the wiimote seem to not consume more than 250mw? I look to power 2 wiimote from the same plugin transformer so if 1A/wiimote is really require the cost of a 3v 2amp is more that 3 time the cost of a 1a one Did him wrong somewhere? ps. Sorry for my english... Stonedge Title: Re: Wiimote Consumption Post by: benpaddlejones on April 21, 2009, 08:43:50 AM Stonedge
Because that is a common transformer and conforms with the Wiimotes maximum capabilities. I have no doubt you can use less but it won't be a mass produced solution. benpaddlejones :) Title: Re: Wiimote Consumption Post by: Stonedge on April 21, 2009, 09:11:15 AM Did a completed wiimote specsheet exist? or where I can find power consumption min/max of a wiimote...
If I use glovepie (or any other Software solution) and start rumble, the speaker and shake the wiimote.... did you think I can acheived max consumption or did I miss something? Stonedge |
