Title: Greeting from California
Post by: CaliTeacher on March 22, 2010, 12:06:22 PM
My name is Cesar, and I'm a teacher in California.  I read up on the wiimote project some time ago and came back to see what I might be able to put to use in the classroom.  As of the moment I'm typing this, I haven't checked anything out, so I'm on my way!

For the classroom it's all about the Wii interactive whiteboard man. Interactive white boards are WAY BEYOND normal white boards. They allow you to create, clear, beautiful, typeset content instead of just "scribbling" something on the board. But caution: Still go step by step. Don't blast information at your students a full screen at a time.

They allow you to play learning games that engage students. They allow you to erase the board INSTANTLY, with no dust or residue. They may inspire questions and curiosity from your students about how the system actually works. Make sure that you are ready to take advantage of these "teaching moments".
