Hello guys.

I tried to make a whiteboard, its a very interesting proyect.

But i have a problem, i try with a lot of leds, and no one works  fine.

I want to buy a vishay led, but i cant find this kind of leds in my country (mexico), its impossible.

And i search for alternatives, i find this led:

Everlight PT331C.

Its like a clon of vishay 6400.

Datasheet:
http://pdf1.alldatasheet.com/datasheet-pdf/view/202420/EVERLIGHT/IR333C.html

This led have 940nm of wavelength,  100ma, and 25° of view angle.

In the paper, this led its = to vishay....

This led might work fine??.

Thanks!

PD: Sorry for my bad english.

Hi,

I am not sure if anyone here has tested the IR LED that you have mentioned. It would be best if you just use the Vishay 6400 to save you a lot of trouble testing and troubleshooting.

You can easily purchase it online via the online resellers in this forum.

Ok thanks.

The resellers in this forum can send the leds to mexico?.

But, the everlight leds, maybe can work. I see the radiant graphics, and the leds are similar.

See:

The left image its the vishay led, and the other is the everlight led.

its very similar.
