My New Pen Project

How I found it:
I was looking through some of the tool kits, and I found this little think Pen Flashlight.  Took it out and come to find that it uses not electronic switches, its just a simple medal on medal switch.

Little bit bigger view

It uses 2 N Batteries so a small resistor is all that will be needed.

I am going to try to find a simple way to mount the LED I might take the bulb and get rid of the glass and replace it with the LED

Ill let you all know later on how this works out.

PS. Not the greatest pictures, I took them with my camera phone

Dice man, you can get 2 LED's like from the shack and replace the bulb portion all together. that will give you the 3V tolerance you need and should give you sufficient output. only thing with this is need to make sure the voltage going to the bulb is in fact 3v and not regulated by some internal hardware. should be able to get the bulb out and get a number and see what its rated at.

looks awesome though, real handy to use in a whiteboard situation

Its true 3v there is nothing at all inside other than what you see on the last pic.  I did get the bulb out as well.

I think I might try the 2 LED's and see how it works thanks for the suggestion

hahaha nah, its 2 video cards on top of each other.  Its my desk at my office, I have allot of PC's parts on it.  If you look hard there is a USB card and a Network card on top of the Video cards Smiley
