hey, i live in Australia and im having a little trouble with finding these vishay tsal 6400 LEDs. anyone know where i could get em? any other good IR LEDs that work? if so where can i get those?

i have tried dick smith electronics. i searched their site and it seems that they only have 1 IR LED, and has a 25 degree angle. from what i have heard they arnt so good for an ir pen.

on vishay's website i have found 2 stores in melbourne that sell their products. arrow electronics and future electronics. i couldnt search products due to the website being down on arrow and future's was very muddled up. and both being a little far to go to, i am not prepared to go if uncertain. but i will check out dick smith tomorrow.

The IR-Leds at DSE/Tandy/Altronics/Jaycar all suck!

I do recommend the SPDT switch from DSE/tandy (part P7802) I found this to be the best switch when used upside down so the end of the leaver points to the IR-Led.
