Hi, I'm new here  Smiley, so I don't know where to put this... so move it where ever it's supposed to be. My two questions are: Can I use this software in Windows 7 build 7000? And can I use normal LEDs... since I bought 10 of them hoping to use them with this project  Angry, and in johnny lee's video, at about 3:00, he uses a blue led and a green one... I just tried, and it seemed that it dosn't work, so I thought that it may be the fact that I have Win 7 or that I have the wrong hardware.

Nope! must be IR-Leds

Windows 7 is still unkown, be interesting to see if it will work. You can test with just a cigarette lighter, gives of IR light too.

First off, sorry to put this into the wrong forum, and second of all, can I use a LED from a old tv remote?

Many people did this very early on in the project (sadly then used this as an excuse to say it doesn't work) but they just don't cut the mustard.

You need a Vishay Tsal6400 or TSAL5300 or it won't work how you want it to.
