i purchased these led from radio shack  5mm Green LED  http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?summary=summary&techSpecs=techSpecs&currentTab=features&cp=&custRatings=custRatings&features=features&accessories=accessories&productId=2062572&support=support&tab=techSpecs

I've hooked it up to four 1.5 AAA batterires. The problem is the wii mote doesn't detect the IR LED's. Any suggestions? or quick fixes

You need a Infrared LED not a green LED, that is the problem Wink

Lol, i accidently bought mini ir-leds... they don't do much good either Tongue
