Hi,

I just bought a IR pen that is a 4-in-1 multi function pen from teachwithtech and the power is just drained to quickly. Because it is running off of 3 LR41 batteries. Please tell me what to do. If I should some how eliminate the pen and go to a laser. But that would require me to take the IR filter out on the wii remote and I don't know how to do that. Or should I somehow try to make another IR pen that runs off a AA or AAA battery?

Thanks so Much

Many use that setup, the battery time is many hours. Check the switch isn't stuck on (use an Digital Camera) in storage (I used to do it all the time). Otehrwise I would speak with teachwithtech as they make a good IR-Pen as do all the sellers on this forum, it is likely something small.

Dear rockiesjt,
By your description, it sounds like the batteries that were included in the pen drained quickly.  This is common as the installed batteries have been installed in the pen since production.  Please go ahead and replace these batteries with the new batteries that are included with the pen.  These new batteries should give you a much longer time of use (many hours depending on usage) then the previously used/tested batteries inside the pen.

If you have additional questions, feel free to contact us at contact@teachwithtech.com

Thank you for posting your question!
