Here are the pens I made:

Pen 1:

I bodged this together to test the whiteboard. Just stuck a IRled in the end of a maglite type thing.

Pen 2:

Bought all the workings from Maplins for a couple of quid. The case was made out of a ShakePop sweet holder. Works very well and the shape makes it comfortable to grip.

Pen 3:

The spraycan! Made the same way as pen 2, but the switch is attatched to the spray head which houses the IRled. I used two hair wax containers to make the can (don't try and use a real spray can, it'll blow up in your face(disclaimer for idiots)).
This works great, it feels like you're using a real spray can. I did a bit of graffiti art in photoshop and I was quite impressed with the results (video to follow).

Hi! Great! I have made one from a real Montana can a short while ago.
-Your (disclaimer for idiots) will not function  Grin.
I have a problem with  sound. I would like to hear a constanly Pfffff! or aerosol sound
with the left mouse click (Programms like "Sounding Keyboard and Mouse" don't work
constanly)
You can try to integrate the sound into the can but that's little expensively.
Can you help me?
Thanks -and sorry for my english.

I was just speaking to a teacher about how the IR-Pen can be a design and technology project this is exactly the evidence I need!

What we need now is a graffitti painting application!

Katkind
You can buy gift cards that you record a message in. When you open the card the recorded message plays. Rip out the electronicsm, record a spray can in action and wire to your switch.

You will have to try to find out, its only an idea not an expereince.

What do you mean Graffitti Studio doesn't work? Wors a treat on my machine?

Are you using Boonjin's Smoothboard? Johnny's demo application may not work as it has some mouse emulation issues.

Thanks benpaddlejones!
Yep- Graffiti Studio 2 works fine with  Boonjin's Smoothboard.
I tryed a gift card and it didn't loop. No chance to integrate the sound into the can  Cry
I think sound should be integrated into the wiimote software. With Java it should be
possible- There are routines for looping sound with a mouse click. I know some
application programmers have issues with sound, but I think its a chance to show how
smart wiimote whiteboard is  Smiley

Thanks Katkind

I think the sound should be in the spray can.

I will have time in a few weeks and I want to make a spraycan with ballbearing, spray sound  & IR-Led.

Will take some soldering but will be a very cool proof of concept.

I have spend a while trying to find an application thta will do this. The closest I could find is 'Noisy Mouse' http://www.leeos.com/noisy_mouse.html by a programmer called  Lior Ostrowsky who writes a range of really cool freeware applications.

However it only makes a noise on click pres, not click hold. I have sent him an email and hope he may be able to help us. I will keep you in touch.

Katkind,
I know this is a bit late, but I haven't been to these boards in about a year.  The version of Sounding Keyboard and Mouse that I have does loop the sound.  Maybe you have an older version?  On the version that I have, there is an option to "keep on playing wav till key up."  With this checked, once you click the mouse button, it starts playing the wav file, and once you release the mouse button, it stops playing.  Sounds perfect to me.

The only issue with it is that a registered version costs $30, but since you mentioned this program in your post, I guess you are already familiar with that.
