Re-build Microlenser
«

For the european people:
I bought at Conrad the "V9 LED-Micro Lenser"
and an IR-LED
The technical datas:
Typ: TSUS 5202 (CQW 13)
Wellen-Länge: 950 nm
I e (mW/sr): typ. 30 mW/sr
UF: typ. 1.3 V
Abm.: (Ø) 5 mm
Gehäuse: 5 mm
Öffnungswinkel: ± 15 °
To remove the original white LED and put in the IR-LED was easy.
The links for both devices:

It was very easy to change the LED, and the IR-LED is very bright!
Costs: ca 13€ (20CHF) for the LED-Lenser and 0,70€ (1,10CHF) for the IR-LED

I did this as well, and it's working quite well, though you have to be aware that the light is not going to the sides, so you dont want to align your pen with the wiimote:)

I couldn't try this until now, because BS didn't connect to my Wiimote
BS found a "Nintendowhatever", but when i say "connect", it sais "couldn't connect" and i don't know why.
I tried with GlovePIE, but it didn't work, too.
But the pen itself works fine

Just to make sure... Are you pressing the 1 and 2 button when you're connecting?

maybe i'm a n00b....but not such a big!
I know my fault now. Use BS V2.3 and everything works fine
Yes, this IR-Pen is great! You can build this. I'll try to insert a few pics next week.
Maybe this "Pen" is little to small...it could be a litte bigger...maybe i'll try this with a

Question for you, I have seen led light like this one, does this one have a momentary switch or the standard click on, click off switch?
I think its a cool little solution that would work well, just wondering though.
Thanks

Hi all,
thanks to admin for the interesting and amazing project ideas. I'm fascinated by the whiteboard idea. So I ordered a Wiimote and 2 sensor bars. They have not been delivered yet.
In this thread I found the lenser and the IR LED. I ordered them too. They arrived today and I replaced the LED.
After modification it looks like this:
I wanted to make it detectable from the sides too so I placed the LED in front of the pen. I have no idea whether this will work. The output angle of the LED is quite small.
cu, saturn
PS: @dice: This one has a momentary switch.
