The pen does in fact work quite well with the whiteboard; but you are correct that a momentary switch closer to the front would be much easier. We are already working on offering another pen with this capability.
This is why I wish you had a reasonable return policy. I feel I just wasted $55+ . Not impress so far, and I haven't even received the pens.
His pen did not cost $55; he ordered two pens. I feel the best response we can give to this thread is an e-mail I just sent to a customer that wanted to cancel his order based on the discussion here:
"There is nothing wrong with the pens we were selling; they will work with the wiimote whiteboard, and they are perfectly functional. In fact, they are the best solution that is currently commercially available. The only problem is that we have since found out that many members of the forum would rather have a pen that has a momentary switch closer to the index finger.
We are responding to this feedback by actively searching for a more convenient solution for the whiteboard, since members of the forum like yourself are our most important customers. However, our product is not defective and will work as advertised. If we are able to find a pen that is more suitable to users of the whiteboard, we are PROBABLY going to send people like yourself a pen that is even better for your needs. We cannot guarantee that because we have not yet been able to create such a pen (although we are getting close).
If there was an easy solution for the wiimote whiteboard, everyone would be doing it. You have seen yourself the difficulty that people are having finding a workable solution to this problem. But nonetheless, the Streamlite pen is the best solution out there right now. We would gladly cancel your order if the pen had not been shipped, but unfortunately it has been already. Bear with us as we try to find a solution to the problem that has perplexed everyone involved, not just us.

The people at Infraredpens.com did agree to accept my return if I didn't open the original packaging and they will refund my money upon receipt. Infraredpens.com made the right decision here and I appreciate it, and will probably decide to purchase their redesigned pens once they become available. I have yet to receive the pens, (although the order was placed on July 9th) but will return them as soon as possible.
