I personally respond to 5-10 e-mails a day, so I'm not sure what a few of you are talking about... regardless, all pens were shipped out last week (Thursday at the latest) and should arrive this week.

The pen does in fact work quite well with the whiteboard; but you are correct that a momentary switch closer to the front would be much easier. We are already working on offering another pen with this capability.

This is why I wish you had a reasonable return policy. I feel I just wasted $55+ . Not impress so far, and I haven't even received the pens.

His pen did not cost $55; he ordered two pens. I feel the best response we can give to this thread is an e-mail I just sent to a customer that wanted to cancel his order based on the discussion here:

"There is nothing wrong with the pens we were selling; they will work with the wiimote whiteboard, and they are perfectly functional. In fact, they are the best solution that is currently commercially available. The only problem is that we have since found out that many members of the forum would rather have a pen that has a momentary switch closer to the index finger.

We are responding to this feedback by actively searching for a more convenient solution for the whiteboard, since members of the forum like yourself are our most important customers. However, our product is not defective and will work as advertised. If we are able to find a pen that is more suitable to users of the whiteboard, we are PROBABLY going to send people like yourself a pen that is even better for your needs. We cannot guarantee that because we have not yet been able to create such a pen (although we are getting close).

If there was an easy solution for the wiimote whiteboard, everyone would be doing it. You have seen yourself the difficulty that people are having finding a workable solution to this problem. But nonetheless, the Streamlite pen is the best solution out there right now. We would gladly cancel your order if the pen had not been shipped, but unfortunately it has been already. Bear with us as we try to find a solution to the problem that has perplexed everyone involved, not just us.

Infraredpens.com"

FYI:

The people at Infraredpens.com did agree to accept my return if I didn't open the original packaging and they will refund my money upon receipt. Infraredpens.com made the right decision here and I appreciate it, and will probably decide to purchase their redesigned pens once they become available. I have yet to receive the pens, (although the order was placed on July 9th) but will return them as soon as possible.

Well I finally received the pens and sent them back to Infraredpens.com. Since Customs opened the envelope, I couldn't simply "return to sender", and so I had to pay for shipping back. I sent the pens back on July 31st, and according to the post tracking, it has been sitting in InfraredPen's P.O box since August 8th. It is now the 28th - 20 days the pens have been sitting there, and I have not gotten my refund.

No one has responded to my numerous emails.

Not only am I out the original cost of the 2 pens orders, but also the cost for shipping them back. Needless to say, I am very disappointed.

I don't mean to butt in on this, however I just recieved some feedback on my pen design and would like to see what is prefered. On my pen the button for the IRLED is closer to the IRLED side of the pen. Is this what is prefered? The comment I recieved was that the individual would rather have the button in the middle of the pen. Please let me know, I am trying to improve on my design and any and all comments are welcome.

thank you
Jon

Well the pens I sent to them came back to me. InfraRedPens totally f*cked me over after their well documented agreement to honor me refund.

Pay pal grievance is next.
