so i got my IR pen built and my wiimote connected. i also downloaded johnny lee's wiimote whiteboard software. but then i found out that my wiimote does not recognize the IR pen as even being there, even during calibration. i even tried using a standard tv remote with 2 ir leds in it to make sure the pen wassnt just broken, that failed too. what should i do?
Hi,
Try to use your mobile phone camera to see whether the IR led can be seen when you switch on the pen.
You can use Smoothboard's calibration viewer to also see whether the Wiimote captures the IR light. You should try to face the IR pen directly at the Wiimote's camera.
If it does not detect at all, maybe you have a faulty Wiimote or the battery has been depleted.
Also, the Wiimote must be connected correctly and the battery level shown.
