I amusing the 32feet.net library and C# to connect Wiimotes programatically.  Everything seems to be working well, but every time I connect Windows XP says that my new hardware may not function correctly until I restart, and prompts me to do so.  I know this may seem like a minor issue, but I really want to disable this prompt.  Does anyone have any suggestions for this?

I solved this one for myself.  If anyone else is experiencing this issue it is almost painfully simple.  Immediately after connecting the WiiMote to the Bluetooth stack I was attempting the WiiMote.connect method from the WiiMotelib.  The WiiMote was in the HID list but Windows XP had not actually finished connecting to it.  Then when I called WiiMote.SetReportType Windows was aware that the device was not working correctly so it prompted for re-start.  The fix can be as simple as a 15 second pause between the bluetooth connection and the Wiimote.Connect call.
