I made this mockup of a simple and prety virual keyboard to use with Wiimote Whiteboard in the classrooms.

http://clinik.net/wiimote/wiimote_keyboard.php

After search and search I found only 2 or 3 virtual keyboards for mac.
And all not so simple and not so prety.
And none of them freeware.

Please! Become a hero!!! Cheesy
Turn this mockup reatity!!!

I can help with graphics stuff...
Thanks in advance.

Looks nice - I hope it comes with some smart text-input like T9 or similar so you don't have to type each letter for every word...

I know a big dictionary takes up time and space and slows things down a bit but it really helps...

adding my wishlist:

Dictionarys (replaceable for various countries)
Skins / colors
resizeable for classrom use you don't want to move 1 meter between q -> p

Have your tried PenRite (http://www.ritescript.com/Products/ritePen.aspx) maybe a work arround?

I use this in class, as I'm getting better at the script marks I find the product more usable. As I'm a very ugly whiteboard writer!

Not a Mac user but I would assume Mac (being the corporate responsible corporation it portrays) would have a virtual keyboard in its accessibity options for users with disabilities???

Ben,
PenRite seems to be a great idea!!!

Mac OS X have a virtual keyboard... but I didn't know...
Some one in http://www.uweschmidt.org/wiimote-whiteboard/ comments remember me that.
As I say in that comment reply:
"Although, I really think there is a place for this virtual keyboard!"
http://clinik.net/wiimote/wiimote_keyboard.php

This virtual keyboard would be very nice!
Something like PenRite for Mac would be great!!!

Thanks

Hello. Has anyone found a suitable on-screen keyboard (preferably freeware) that wold work on Windows XP and Vista? Are there any on-screen keyboards that resemble the actual on-screen keyboard on the Nintendo Wii? I am looking for an on-screen keyboard where the keys will be magnified/highlighted when the mouse pointer hovers over it. Any suggestions?

Gonraz

Start/Accessories/Accessability/on Screen Keyboard (standard on all XP installs)

Given the Wiimote IWB at this stage does not do mouse over no need for the highlight feature.

Hey Ben thanks for your reply. I am aware of the built-in on-screen keyboard in XP and Vista, but was just trying to look for something more user friendly as I noticed many of the participants in my system evaluation had a shaky hand. I know IWB is a great program and offers very accurate 'pointing', but due to the users, input using the on-screen keyboard is not always error-free. Hence, I am now trying to look for any on-screen keyboard that resembles the one on the Wii console, which is extremely user friendly.

Hey Gonraz,

This one is probably the most customizable virtual keyboard that I have seen.   It cost money but it might be the best option.

Comfort On Screen Keyboard

You would need the Pro version which is $19.95
