Hi,

I'm currently trying to inquire the possibility of using the wiimote hack (in any form or ways) to built some kind of "virtual shooting range". Maybe the picture attached would give you a glimpse of what I'm inquiring about (and yes, I know I made a typo there).

So the end state(s) I'd like to reach is "a virtual shooting range that can accomodate multi-users at the same time". And I'd like it to be as low in cost as possible.

I know there's a logical way of using one wiimote per person, but that means for 3-5 person(s), I'm going to need many wiimote(s), in which it'd raise the cost pretty steep. So I'd like to know if it's possible to use only one wiimote for such purpose, and utilizing multiple "shooting devices" (e.g. modified airsoft, trigger connected to attached IR pen/device).

Any answer would be very much appreciated. And sorry for the bad English, not my mother tongue.

With one Wiimote, how are you tracking the direction the user's gun is pointing?

oh ok.. sorry I missed the very basic knowledge for the hack -___-;

So it's more realistic with multiple wiimotes? Then, if it's so, is it possible to use multiple wiimotes at the same time? And with some-kind-of-software to differentiate each gun's shot?

Thanks, and if you want me to read some references to help me with this application, please direct me to it. The ones I read are usually the general explanation of wii hacks, not the very detail of it.

Thanks again.

Just put two ir dots on the gun, some distance apart, you'l be able to track orientation pretty well.

Essentially they would function like gun sights.
