I was hoping there is a way to modify the finger tracking project to measure the fingers with 10 mils resolution for a biometric project. Im willing to pay for this kind of solution.

Thank you.

Hi,

How the measurements are made? And what is the measurement you are referring too?

mils is 1/1000th of an inch. I think its about 25 microns. The resolution of measurement should go around 10-20 mils which is like about the thickness of 2-3 copy paper. I know its possible i just dont have the programing ability.

Hi,

The IR camera has only a resolution of 1024 x 768 and thus I am not certain how are you planning to measure with such accuracy.

Furthermore, the Wiimote only detect up to 4 individual points and how this can be marked on the fingers is another issue too.

I need only 1 finger measured. I think it would work of theres a scale on the background as a measurement guide.

Hi,

The Wiimote only outputs up to 4 IR coordinates.

It does not output like a webcam does. If so, it would be better if you just work with a webcam.
