I have not had the opportunity to try out any of the software yet as I do not use a PC or even have a Wii, but I am curious to see if anyone has tried to tie in position data from an After Effects file. You could animate a few comps then layer and lock them into 3d space. If you walk towards or away from the screen, you would essentially become the camera in the After Effects file. Someone could lay out Normandy beach, add a little shake to the camera and you could be Captain John H. Miller in Saving Private Ryan.

you would need more than one light source, like the light bar then you could have an app that reads the graphics and the position data and as the ir dots get farther apart, you would change to different image positions. it could be done, i have just never messed with after effect or its position data

They also said that the processor would never get over 1Ghz!  and the guy from Digital back in 1980 said that people would never have Computers in their houses.  Smiley

No one knows what will happen in a few years, we all might have 8 or 16 cores in our PCs and running on Hydrogen Fuel cells. Smiley

Don't think After Effects would be the right program for the idea you mentioned. You would always "walk" in the RAM Preview which is way more inefficient than game engines when it comes to lighting and realtime movement. Or do it in a low resolution and make a render of it afterwards, but that would be kinda plain/lame...

I do however like the idea of moving camera's in AE with this! It could prove a real time saver when you can actually pan/tilt the camera with your head while working! I can see it happen, don't ask me how but I like it!
