I have already seen a few of these available for hire - http://www.friispray.co.uk and http://www.yrwall.com - there are others too.

friispray is offering its software as open source and free to download. I have also been looking at using ArtRage 2.5 (3 coming out later this month) as it's got a minimal interface.

there's also http://www.wiispray.com which is looking like it will become a full nintendo game. It has a spray can like housing for the wiimote

I'd like to make my own - using an IR lamp in a spray can. BUT I would really love to be able to do right click as well as left click... maybe a cobbled together solution attaching parts of a wireless mouse to the spary can? with just the right click button (anyone tried this?)

There's also the issue of software. The yrwall.com uses their own flash software with customise options - they're expensive to hire (£2500 a day +extras)

I have seen good source for Flash drawing things - open commons. I'm not a coder - but maybe someone out there is and could look at it?

I would love to work on this project with someone - I'm in Birmingham UK

Well for an easy all in 1 solution you could have a spray can that houses a NYKO wireless nunchuck inside it and the led on it as u were gonna have it.

That way you can set ur program to pickup all the clicks from the wiimote and not have to rely on a wireless mouse.

This could also give u an option to have the spray paint run out and u have to shake it to refill it or u can't start painting till u have shaken the can like a normal can and the nunchuck can sense when it's shaked Smiley

It is a more expensive option when compared to getting a cheap wireless mouse but this would then make sure that no accidental button presses as only a program configures to use the wiimote will react to the button presses and if u have a thing like shake the can to start it won't register them Smiley

Trouble is - as I said - I'm not a programmer. Sounds like a nice idea - but not sure how to implement it. I can easily do the graffiti wall using the basic wiimote setup and a painting app - I may well have to just use the friispray one for now.

Tangible interaction do a nice one - but again it's a hire jobby and they're in Canada - I'm in the UK. I want to make my own similar.. they have the ability to use stencils and up to 5 IR cans/pens on one wall - Not sure how this is done? http://www.tangibleinteraction.com/gallery/digital_graffiti_wall

Is noone out there able to look at this project - as a partnership maybe?

Well you could always setup a super nintendo emulator and use the wiimote for Mario paint Wink lol

Id say stick to FriiSpray and go from there you could ask him to add the nunchuck shake to start painting.

As for making a program you will have to either find someone who can do it or go to rent-a-coder website and get them to make one for you.
