Quite a mouthful I know but thats the name of the project I'm working on for my undergraduate Final year project. I'm Studying Music Media and Performance Technology in the University Of Limerick (Ireland). My course hasn't dealt with much coding so this is a new area for me. The idea would be to produce visuals similar to those on the windows media player and display them on a LED screen where the user can immerse themselves using head tracking.

The only experience I have with coding is a very basic a java module we did in my first year. So the question i'm asking where do I start? Is C# necessary? or is it possible to produce this on another program using the same live inputs? EG PD or Flash?

Basically i'm in the deep end here and would love any pointers!! Thanks in advance for the replies!

Hi,

Have a look at this web page and see if you can find anything useful.

Although somewhat advanced, there may be an existing implementation you can use.

It contains information about making realisitic looking fluid patterns on a screen, possibly using a mouse pointer or headtracking pointer.

Hi,

Its not head tracking but it uses Wii controllers to do things audio visually.
