I'm new to ths forum so let me start of by saying Hello! from Sweden Cheesy

I've seen some posts about using a IR-laser as a source for controlling whiteboard software and this is my story.
Maybe it will help someone or maybe it's already been cleared up. I dunno, but here goes!

I'm fairly new to the idea of connecting a wiimote to a PC but I just had to try it out.
I've been thinking about drawing graffiti with a laser pen for quite a while and how it could be done for as cheap as possible.
If you don't know what I mean, check this out http://graffitiresearchlab.com/?page_id=76.
Then I saw the whiteboard wiimote program and I thought, hey that might actually work! So I went headfirst straight into it.

After a while I almost gave up since my wiimote wouldnt connect to my computer, well it did but not with any success. (As for many others). I finally got it working using a Trust Bluetooth dongle and BlueSoleil, but since I don't own a IR laser I was stuck ones more... So i slaughtered my wii remote carving our the IR-filter with a knife and thought, hey this will work!?! Right? Cheesy (btw this is my first try, I dont own any IR leds either.)

I happen to own a Epson projector though, using a white wall as a screen aprox 100" and a laser pen (red < 1mW).

This is how it all went down!
Calibration check!
Graffiti check! (using photoshop for now)

Success! Well not really, need a stronger laser for it to work like a charm, drops out now and then. I think something like 10-25mW should do, I'm ordering one so I'll keep you posted.

Thanks for a great forum and thanks for listening
Over and out.
