Hi,

I saw an interesting segment this evening on the Australian ABC television science program Catalyst called 'Sports Motion'.

They describe a small inertial sensing and data logging device which is attached to athletes to measure aspects of their performance.

Nintendo are potentially going in this same direction with their Wii Fit, Wii Motion Plus and related accessories.

Its only a matter of time before multiple wireless 6 axes devices are attached to gamers and others for immersive applications.

Here are the relevant links.

Thanks.

Funny thing the accelerometer which is used in the wiimote is $2.36 so I ordered 12 of them and was able to read xyz data easily. After your imagination is bound to the software. The accelormeter is very small 4mm.
