I have gotten my wiimote IWB working with Smoothboard, but now need to learn how to control my Edge Robotic Arm with an Arduino hack. I have the arm (5 dc motors, no encoders) working with the Arduino Uno, but want to see if it's possible to program the arm to follow a programmed sequence of motions. Lacking stepper motors and encoders, there's no way to track the arm's motions without a great deal of hardware mods. It seems to me that the wiimote should be able to do this, but I don't know how accurate it would be. Does anyone know if this sounds feasible? If so, how can I get started? I'm not a programmer, so I just copy and paste scripts for Sketch and Processing (the two scripting languages I'm using for the arm/Arduino. Any help is appreciated, thanks.
