I was thinking about stereoscopic vision and head tracking while watching johnny lee's video where he calibrates a projector screen to project onto smaller areas and 3d objects and I thought maybe there might be an easy answer for stereoscopic vision with head tracking.

First, one would set up glasses with LEDs on as you currently use for head tracking, except you would need 3-4 point tracking for this to work. shouldn't be a problem though.

Now, use semi-transparent glasses for this and set up your projector to onto the glasses (using white glass-paint might work, or maybe just plain paper on flat glasses)(using semi-transparent materials with a projector would mean you need to mirror the image).

Now what you have is glasses and a projector where the computer can track your head and where it is facing, and project an image onto the glasses for each eye. You would need to be quite close to the projector for a decent resolution, and i'm not sure how much of an issue glare would be, but the result should be full 60Hz stereoscopic 3d vision.

Unfortunately, I don't have £1000 to spare on a projector screen. Would someone be able to try this out?

Or you could use red cyan anaglyph glasses and stick infra red leds on the side of them. Then you could use them cheaper.
