Now I don't know much in the way of emerging technologies in the sense that I don't know much about how they work. I just know what's out there and the capabilities they currently have. I stumbled across this display (http://www.vuzix.com/iwear/products_av920c.html) and I was wondering if it would be possible to combine the headtracking and VR display capabilities with this head mounted display? Just a thought. Seems like it would be a pretty immersive experience.

I think the same thing, using 2 cameraviews for a stereo immersive desktop. in the future combines with translucent mini lcds to create a data overlay in the real world. Smiley

Question. If anybody is like me I would love to play games using the VR headtracking project, am I right? Anyway I was wondering, and don't laugh, if there is anyway to copy all of the special coding from the special 3-d photos that Johnny provided to a game's file. And if so how and what file to copy etc. Or if possible take on the daunting task of re-writing the code of a game....... acually scratch that. He he

There are a few multiview 3d screens available on the market that works without the need for goggles or similar.

I was invited to a demonstration a few days ago by www.spatialview.com

I had a nice chat with them about the technology and brought up the idea of using Wiimote along with hteir displays...(thinking mocap)

About converting the wiimote desktopVR into a game... that's a NO coz you need access to the sourcecode... but one can always keep working on desktopVR as a fundamental base and go from there to Pong, Labyrinth, Snake or whatever you are capable of...
