Hi All,
After a year of prototyping and experimenting we have a new digital interactive whiteboard solution for classrooms.
It can be found on:
http://wyxs.net/web/wiiscan/
The how to describes 'everything you always wanted to know about digital interactive whiteboards in classrooms, but were afraid to ask'. :-).
The how to is not completely finished, updated pictures will be added. Comments welcome.
Kind regards,
Dirk Schouten

Hi All, hi Ben!
Ben asked for "a quick overview on this thread so users know what you have published."

Teachers are mostly women. They came to education because they primarily  like to work with children, not with computers. So, a digital interactive whiteboard in a classroom must be a  'óne click solution'. The comprehensive manual gives you everything you need for a stable, trustworthy solution in a classroom.

The procedure for the teacher is as follows:
- switch on the PC (a task she already knows)
- log in (see above)
- do something else for about a minute or longer (there is always a lot to do so this is a nice step in the procedure)
- grab a IR pen and do the  real job: teaching!

That's it.
At this moment t he manual only lacks some pictures. They will become avaiable in the next months when we create about 10 digital interactive whiteboards in our school http://rosaboekdrukker.net
We are now planning to develop an open source replacement for Wiimote Smooth Board 0.2 BETA. Then our board will be completely open source.
And that's what education needs!
Kind regards,
Dirk

Sounds great.
Because you are doing something different to Boonjin let me know if you want me to start a thread for your project.

Hi Ben,
Might be an idea. Can we discuss it elsewhere, because it's rather off-topic.

Hi krid,

I'm interested in that open source software, will it be written in .NET like smoothboard? Let me know if you need collaboration.
