I tried the new Smoothboard version 1.0 build 1003 for the first time and was not able to get it to talk to my wiimote.  I first tried putting in new batteries in the wiimote and although I was getting confirmation of connection via the bluetooth stack, I could not get Smoothboard to connect to it.  I kept getting the following error:

Error reading data from Wiimote...is it connected?

Finally I realized that I had several connections in my bluetooth stack (I have three different wiimotes) and that I was currently trying to connect Smoothboard to the third listed wiimote - the first two were listed in my bluetooth Manager but were not connected while the third one was also listed and connected.

I think that maybe Smoothboard tries to connect to the *first* wiimote listed in the stack.

I fixed my problem by deleting the first two wiimotes from my bluetooth manager so that I only had one wiimote on the stack and it was connected.   Once I did this, Smoothboard was able to find it.

Hi Len,

I am using Brian Peek's Wiimote library which functions as you have discovered.
I have tried to allow the Wiimote to try to connect all the 'detected' Wiimotes but this will cause the application to pause for a long time as the application tries to connect the Wiimotes one by one.

That's also the reason why I have separated the One Wiimote and Two Wiimotes feature.

Thanks for posting your troubleshooting solution. Smiley
