Hi!
I want to use Smoothboard at school.
But I'm not allowed to install software (no registry change)
So I must use portable software, which you needn't to install.
Is there something like that?
I really mean Smoothboard and not Johnny's Whiteboard!

Yes this is a increasingly common problem with over zealous control freeks who make ICT decisions. Usually though you can apply to someone to have a peice of software installed. I have no doubt you could prove the educational merit of this.

Yes, the educational side is one of the most developed uses of IWB. Just check out some of the links on the bottom of benpaddlejone's signature. They are great.

Hi Lukas,

You should be able to use Smoothboard as a portable version without installing.

There are no registry changes required.

You can just copy the whole Smoothboard folder.
However, please ensure that all the files are still intact.

I would assume you can't register the software then?

:-)

Hi Ben,

Yeah, but his issue is that he does not have permission to install on the school's computer but must run the executable directly.
If that is the case, he still can register the software for that computer.
