I'm using Smoothboard 0.4.6 with BlueSoliel 3.0 that came with my Bluetooth USB adapter, under Win XP. (Any other config details you need?)

I had everything paired up and working fine with one Wiimote. Then I took the setup somewhere else and tried connecting to a different Wiimote. Everything looks fine in BlueSoliel - the Wiimote is discovered, the joystick service found, and I turn on the HID binding. But when Smoothboard starts up, it complains that it can't find the Wiimote. If I turn on "use two Wiimotes". Then Smoothboard complains it can't find the first Wiimote, but finds my one Wiimote and I can then use that Wiimote with no problems.

I tried deleting all the config files I could find and reinstalling Smoothboard, but it still complains about not finding the Wiimote. I also deleted all the Bluetooth devices from BlueSoliel.

Any suggestions?

- Jasen.

Hi Jasen,
This is most probably due to the Brian Peek's library I am using. Will work this out when I have the time. Smiley

Currently, it will try to connect the wiimotes in sequence according to the HID devices detected by Windows. The first wiimote in the list will be connected as the first wiimote in the app. Therefore, for your situation, the next wiimote you tried to connect was detected as the second wiimote although the first wiimote was not connected. This is because in the Bluetooth HID device list, the original wiimote's configurations are still there.

To solve this issue, you will have to remove the wiimotes from the Control Panel->System->Device Manager.
Then, you will have connect again.

I will try to work around this but will have some difficulties as the application need to cycle through every wiimote it finds in the HID list. If there are several installed wiimotes (but not connected), this might cause the computer to slow down for a while.

Regards,
Boon Jin

Cool. Thanks. I was not aware of the HID list issue. I can use that to work around the "problem".
