Hi Dani,

The IR dots I was mentioning is the status area of the main window: "IR Dots: 1 2 3 4" in your screenshot.

In a normal situation, the IR Dots will be empty if no IR light source is detected.

Maybe you should try Johnny Lee's Wiimote Whiteboard to narrow down the cause of the issue.

sorry excuse me, now I understand. In normal mode must be only one number.. I believe that this is the problem.

Yes when I connect the wiimote, always appears  IR DOTS 1 2 3 4 in each situation.
I have tryied to cover the Wiimote IR-sensor but nothing changes (IR DOTS 1 2 3 4 remain)

I have tried Johnny Lee's Wiimote Whiteboard, but nothing changes. and also appear "Visible IR DOT 1,2,3,4."  If I enable cursor control without calibration the pointer follow the IR-pen (obviously with bad perfoormance) . When I start the calibration remain at the first point calibration.
May be a software problem??

Hi Dani,

Since you have tried on different machines and different bluetooth adaptor, I can think of two causes.
One is the bluetooth stack that you are using.
And another is the Wiimote you are using is faulty.

You should try to use another Bluetooth stack, preferably the Microsoft Bluetooth Stack like what Ben has suggested.

If possible, try to use another Wiimote to test.

Hi,
I don't have another wiimote, I have bought this two days ago to do this experiment.
I have installed widcom driver 5.1.0.1100 but the smootboard display error No wiimotes found in HID device list
I have installed the last blue soleil driver, smootboard start ok, but give the same error (IR DOTS 1 2 3 4)

Microsoft Bluetooth stack is integrated in windows??
 I also tryed the blueetooth application integrated in windows, It see correctly the wiimote, but function only the button on the wii. The IR sensor and accelerometers doesn't function. Smothboard don't start with this driver...

For your opinion is more possible that is a bluethoot stack problem or my wiimote is faulty ??

I have resolved the problem, I have changed the wiimote and the software function correctly.  I have noticed that the old wiimote controller that cause the problem ( IR 1 2 3 4 ) was allocated for the Chinese market ( the box was written completely in chinese with the english string: proibited sold/retail outside the japan country ).
The new wiimote controller that function correctly is the "European" version.
May be only a wiimote faulty, or the chinese version is    
slightly different from the european/international version

Hi,

I have several users who encountered similar issues where the Wiimote reports constantly the presence of 4 IR dots.

This is most probably be due to a faulty Wiimote or a non original Wiimote used. If non-faulty original Wiimote is used, it should work well with the software regardless of the language/market sold.

I am using a Japanese and a USA version.
