Hi y'all,
I'm kind of new to this whole homemade Wii Smartboard deal, but have successfully gotten one going.  I work at a middle school and know there are teachers there who would love to see this in action.  I work in Special Ed and don't have my own computer at school, so can't just show them - I have a friend who is a classroom teacher who has a laptop we have everything running from.
But, I think it would be possible to run the whole thing off of a USB flash drive.  Tonight I downloaded the Bluesoliel software, and the Smoothboard software - everything I have on my friend's computer.  I'm going to give it a shot, as this creates vast portability, but I wonder if anyone else has tried with and if so, with what kind of success?
I think if I could just have it all on a USB drive I could take that, the Bluetooth dongle, Wiimote and my IR LED pen to any classroom and plug it all in and show them right in their own room, with thier computer, but without having to install everything.  I hope it works, but wanted to ask other's results, if any.
Thanks a lot,
Bill

Sounds interesting.

Should work if:
1. The computers have .net framework 3.5 (worth having on your USB as an backup)
2. Computers are all windows
3. Your BT USB is windows driver compatable (if so i suggets you use Thex's WiimoteConnect to connect.

Bluesoliel requires reboot, the Windows driver & WiimoteConnect are a far better solution.

Keep us in the loop of your results

Hi Y'all,
Update time.  I had downloaded all software (including .net framework) to a USB flash drive and have successfully got it all going from there.  I have never had to reboot to use Bluesoliel - not sure about that if others need to do so.  Either way this is all working this very second from the USB drive.
For the record I am running Windows XP, Bluesoliel connecting software and it's going fine.  If anyone has any questions feel free to ask away.
