Hi everybody...Im an student of Engineering in Systems I want to know how Wii remote works..and I was wondering if someone can help me..First. I cant understand very well how wii remorte detects the IR ligth (to calibration, and clicks)..Second...How is the way that the PC knows that in what specific place was done a click...

Plese help me... that's for an exposition in my school...You forgive if I do not write well, but I do not know very sell English because i only speak spanish...

The Wiimote sees IR light because the Wiimote is actually a camera.
The motion sensor bar placed on top or below your TV actually emits 6 (3 on each side) IR lights. The wiimote then makes a cursor (on the Wii) figuring where those points are according to how/ what angle it sees the points.

For the wiimote whiteboard the Program asks that the person do a 4-point calibration, showing the IR light to the wiimote on the boundaries of the screen. Then as a camera it knows where the point is.
You Might actually do this technique with a different camera, but the wiimote is the best camera for it's price.

The wiimote is connected to the Wii via bluetooth. Since bluetooth adapters allow computers to connect to bluetooth devices you can hook up to the wiimote.

Thank you JesseHNTR, your information was of great help. Now, you told me that wii remote has a camera, but How wii remote or this camera knows where is located a clik (for example.-recyler bin). What happend if I make a clik out of screen?.

Before you start using your setup you have to calibrate the screen - same procedure when you calibrate a PDA or smartphone - by clicking each corner(or lighting your irpen in this case)

besides, I want to know if there are some projects like this. if you know of any  address where there are projects Tell Me please. Already visit site http://undcon.com it is helpful for their content.

By the way, if I want to make a program in java for the Wiimote Whiteboard, what should I know and what should I do? That is, what should I consider?

Uwe Schmidt http://www.uweschmidt.org/wiimote-whiteboard has made a Java program.  It's pretty darn good, too.  I'd ask him.
