This may have been covered, so sorry if it has, but could you use a second IR LED (possibly mounted at other end of pen), that turns on with a second switch, which would act as a right click (IE, the second switch turns on both IR LED's at same time, and that is detected as right click)

Just an idea.

I don't know about the Windows version of Wiimote Whiteboard, but you can turn on the IR pen and hold still for a configurable amount of time to right-click in Linux Whiteboard.

If the Windows version is open source then I can contribute.

it is open source sort of. i am not sure if there is an SVN page for it but also any changes made to it you can just post up the code so people can see it.

if there is an SVN or sourceforge page for it, that would ultimately be better though i guess

Sorry, I forgot to build Windows Whiteboard, I'd need a copy of Windows and Visual Studio. Not to mention I haven't succeeded trying to make it work in some other machines that I came by (BlueSoleil doesn't play nice with many bluetooth devices).

The Linux version supports multiple Wiimotes, right clicking and other stuff in a modular manner. Maybe someone would be interested in copying the code over. I'd gladly help if needed.

The Linux version (Java) has two features that I would love to see in the Windows version:
1. Right-click (by clicking and holding for x number of seconds).
2. Smoothing.

I'm afraid I can't contribute much, but if someone with more talent could port the functionality taht would be an amazing help!

Thanks in advance!

About your original idea,

I'm not sure how sensitive the Wiimote is, but there are 6 IR lights on the sensor bar (three on each side), which the wiimote turns into 2. The wiimote would just see it as a bigger dot, which you then might be able to program by size, that would be hard.
