Do you have to use a screen as your whiteboard or will the wiimote work on other surfaces as well (ex: plain wall, acrylic or glass, foam core, wall-talkers, etc.). I plan on using the Smoothboard software and pens from IRPens.com.
Also, is tracking really good enough to use this thing as a whiteboard (think of filling up a traditional whiteboard with words/numbers), or is it best simply for annotations?
Thanks in advance for the help with this...
It will work on most surfaces but the results may vary.
It would be best to use a smooth screen surface like a classroom whiteboard.
For glass surfaces, the Wiimote may not be able to detect the IR properly as some of the emitted power will go through the surface.
On a classroom whiteboard, the tracking will be quite good and you should be able to write in detail.
