Hi,

I am using Windows XP and a Widcomm BT dongle.  I have a new Wiimote which connected perfectly and I could use it with Smoothboard etc.  I also have a Wiimote that I have previously used on my Wii console and this does not register with the software.  It connects via BT but the LED never goes to a solid 1, they continually blink.

I get an error message from both Smoothboard and IWB that says no Wiimote found in HID device list.  The difference at the device manager is that there is an additional entry of "HID compliant game controller" for the controller the DOES work.  For the other controllers this entry is not there!

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what might be the cause?

Smoothboard looks for the first Wiimote on the HID list. So when you added you new one it is still looking for the first one. Remove all the HIDs or use Boonjins SmoothConnect feature, which circumvents this using the MAC address.

Hi again,

I removed all devices from the HID list which required alot of rebooting of my computer.  The end result was great though as I can now use any Wiimote that I like!!  So thanks for the reply benpaddlejones!
