Hi, i bought wii remote yesterday and was successful in connecting it to my Dell Studio XPS laptop using default Microsoft Blue-tooth stack.

The problem is when ever i turn off power on the remote and turn it back on, the wii remote wont automatically connect to my laptop. I have to delete the already added game controller device (wii remote) from my blue-tooth device and repeat the whole process of adding it again.

Am i missing something? or is this the only way? Thank you.

Hi,

If you are connecting manually, then you will need to remove the device and repeat the whole connecting process again.

However, if you are using Smoothboard, SmoothConnect will help you connect the Wiimotes. You will just need to press the 1+2 buttons with SmoothConnect is searching for the Wiimotes. Once connected, the Smoothboard software will be launched automatically.
