Title: My wiimote won't be discovered! - Dell
Post by: kylens on February 10, 2009, 10:56:23 PM
Hey so I read all the tutorials and cannot figure out why my wiimote wont be discovered by my computer. I have a Dell Inspiron 1520 with the "Dell Wireless 355 Module with Bluetooth 2.0" It says Manufacturer is Broadcom Corporation, which I've read means Widcomm.

So I followed the guides instructions for Widcomm, which involves holding down the 1 and 2 button on my wiimote which searching for devices, but nothing is found. It recognizes my mouse and a friends computer so I know it's working but maybe the wiimote isnt? I also tried turning the wiimote off and turning it back on by holding 1 and 2 and keeping them held but no luck. I'm sure this has happened to plenty of people before, so anyone with any advice please help me out. Thanks!
Kyle

Try these:
1. Make sure fresh strong batteries
2. Press the red sync button first
3. Hold about 1m from laptop
4. Press 'search again' a few times

If problems still persists tell me which version of Widdcomm you have.
