Author Topic: Wiimote not found in HID device list  (Read 10025 times)

I just purchased a TRENDnet TBW-101UB Bluetooth adapter and was able to get Wiimote to be recognized.  I ran the wiimotewhiteboard and it comes up with "Exeption: wiimote not found in HID device list".  I am running Windows XP.  I cannot seem to find anything wrong as I do have things in my HID device list.

This is what I have:
Bluetooth Remote Control
Bluetooth Virtual HID Keyboard
HID-Compliant consumer control device

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am getting the exact same issue. The Wiimote lists as a "Bluetooth HID Joystick" under Device Manager, but it's got the yield sign over it indicating there's a problem with the drivers. And of course any any Wiimote-related app I start states that it cannot find the Wiimote in the HID Device List.

My BL Bluetooth software can find the Wiimote and connect to it just fine, tho I am apparently having problems getting it "paired". Every time I try to pair it up, I get an authorization failure.. despite using no password on the pairing. Can anyone offer any suggestions?

For some reasons the connection to the Wiimote is very troublesome

I have no idea what causes this, probably depending on the bluetooth stack being used

Mine worked straight out of the box...on XP
