Wiimote Project

I'm using a HP dv2700 laptop with the integrated Bluetooth. I have two devices pre-installed on the laptop. They are the "HP Integrated Module with Bluetooth 2.0 Wireless Technology" and the "Microsoft Bluetooth Emulator" (that's what shows up under devices). I'm running Vista 32bits.

So here are my problems:

I tried connection my Wiimote to my laptop using Bluetooth today. I checked to make sure that all the drivers are up to date. So I followed the set up instructions and also installed the HID in the end. So in the Bluetooth Devices box, it says that it's connected. But on the Wiimote, the 4 LEDs just keeps blinking. So I assumed that the connection has been successful. But when I tried to run some sample Glove PIE scripts, none of them work.

So I turned the Wiimote off and tried it again. But here's where the big problem is. The Wiimote only successfully connects to the laptop once. When I try to connect it for the second time, it'll loss it's connection immediately. To elaborate on what I mean:

1. I open my Bluetooth Devices window and press 1+2 on the Wiimote to sync. Nothing happens. The Connected sign doesn't come up.
2. Then I go to properties and to the services tab and press 1+2 to sync again. The Connected sign comes up!!! ... only for 5 seconds and then disappears. All the LED's on the Wiimote would stop flashing too.
3. The only way to fix is to try adding the device again. I'll follow the setup wizard again. This time when it search for devices, it'll say "Already Connected" but I'll install it again anyway. Now the connection stays (or at least it seems to be...)

Summary:
So I have two problems:
1. When the Bluetooth Devices window on the laptop shows Connected and the Wiimote lights blinking continuously, none of the Glove PIE scripts work. This makes me think that the Wiimote is actually not connected even though it says so. (I thought that the light should stop blinking and a stable light should come on. correct me if i'm wrong)

2. I can only get it to have a stable connection once. Let's say I restart my computer and try connecting it again, it won't connect anymore unless I reinstall everything.

I'm new to this and I really need help. I think I've provided enough information but if you need more information to understand my situation, I'll provide them.

Before you strip all your drivers forgot to mention that even my V4 is prone to drop out just before connection. I get a guaranteed connection every time by holding buttons 1 & 2 through the whole connection process, releasing just before I start the application.
