Sorry in advance if I do anything/say anything stupid; I'm new to this forum and to this field in general (although I would love to become more familiar with it).

So I'm trying to connect my Wiimote to my computer via Bluetooth.  The computer, by the way, is a Lenovo Thinkpad T61p (I can provide more specs as necessary).  Initially, I tried to use my built it "My Bluetooth Places" program, while hitting the red 'hard sync button' on my Wiimote.  No avail.  The computer didn't recognize the wiimote's Bluetooth.
Is there a standard process to connect Wiimote to PC properly?  Any programs I need?  I'd be very grateful to have a link to a guide or any sort of explanation/help.

Thanks in advance,
Reamerer

What are you doing to your laptop? Sound slike you are just pushing the sync button and expecting to sync?

Well, I'm kind of a noob to Bluetooth.  I used my Laptop's 'My Bluetooth Places'' "find Bluetooth devices" function (which, at least on my old laptop, found a cell phone that I had activated Bluetooth with and worked just fine), and didn't know whether or not it would pick up the Wiimote's signal.  According to this, I thought that that strategy might work.  It didn't, though >_>.  Is there some supplemental program or something along those lines to help the two connect?
Thanks,
~R

Try this method: http://www.wiimoteproject.com/wiimote-and-bluetooth-connectivity/success!-non-bluesolei-stack!/ works best if you hold buttons 1&2 right up until just before you run your wiimote application.
